Materials
Grades we trade
We trade non-ferrous only. Every grade below is contracted to ISRI (ReMA) specification, with purity, moisture and contamination limits written into the contract and verified by independent inspection before loading.
Copper
Copper is graded by purity and by the presence of coatings or contamination. The cleaner the grade, the closer it prices to the LME copper cash settlement.
| Grade | ISRI code | Typical content | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bare Bright Copper Wire | Barley | 99.9%+ | Clean, uncoated, unalloyed bright wire, 1.6 mm and above. No insulation or attachments. |
| Millberry (bright copper wire) | Berry / Barley | 99.9%+ | Trade term for baled bright bare copper wire. Contracted to Barley specification. |
| No.1 Copper | Berry / Candy | 99%+ | Clean copper pipe, bus-bar and heavy wire, free of solder, paint and coatings. |
| No.2 Copper | Birch / Cliff | 94–96% | Copper with light contamination — solder, paint or thin coatings. Unalloyed. |
| No.1 Heavy Copper Solids | Dream | 99%+ | Clean tube, bus-bar and solids. |
| Copper OC / recovered wire | — | Variable | Oxidised or mixed recovered wire, contracted on assay. |
Aluminium
Our principal aluminium grade is baled UBC (ISRI Taldon). Aluminium is lower in value per tonne than copper but higher in volume, and is the backbone of India's secondary alloy industry.
| Grade | ISRI code | Typical content | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Baled UBC (used beverage cans) | Taldon | min 99% Al | Baled aluminium can stock to ISRI density and banding specification. |
| Aluminium wire & cable | Talon | EC grade | Clean drawn aluminium wire, free of insulation. |
| Extrusion 6063 | Tata / Tato | 6063 alloy | Clean (Tata) or painted (Tato) extrusion profile. |
| Aluminium wheels | Troma | Cast alloy | Clean cast road wheels, iron-free. |
| Mixed clippings | Taint / Tabor | Mixed | Low-copper aluminium sheet and clippings. |
| Shredded non-ferrous | Zorba | Assay | Aluminium-rich shredded non-ferrous fraction, contracted on assay. |
A note on specification
We contract to grade, not to adjective. "99.99% pure" is not a specification; Barley, Birch/Cliff or Taldon are. Every offer we make and every purchase we agree states the ISRI code, the permitted contamination, the packing and the inspection standard. If a counterparty cannot describe material in those terms, we do not trade it.
