Moorgate Metals is the non-ferrous trading desk of Samanta Factory Ltd, a UK-registered company, dealing in copper and aluminium scrap between European suppliers and Indian consumers. We are a trading desk, not a scrapyard and not a smelter: our work is to make a cross-border transaction reliable, financed and verifiable for both sides of it.
What we do
India's demand for copper and aluminium grows faster than the scrap it collects at home, and imports the difference. Europe and the UK generate more clean non-ferrous scrap than they consume. We connect the two: buying to specification from established yards in Europe, managing inspection, freight and documentation, and delivering to consumers in India.
We deal in copper and aluminium only. That focus is deliberate — these are the two metals where we can hold genuine specification knowledge and a properly vetted supply base, rather than offering everything and knowing little of it.
How we are set up
Moorgate Metals trades as a business name of Samanta Factory Ltd (company number 15958521), and a dedicated company is being registered for the metals business. Our founding team has operated UK-registered companies since 2010, with backgrounds in technology, international trade and the delivery of large, accountable contracts — applied here to a trade where diligence matters more than salesmanship.
We have deliberately built the process first — sourcing standards, inspection regime, payment terms and counterparty verification — and we grow volume behind it. We are new to metals and we do not pretend otherwise. What we offer is not decades in this trade but a way of dealing that is checkable at every step: a registered company with published details, independent inspection on every container, and payment terms that protect both parties.
